Murphy Social

My name is Dave Murphy and in 2007 I founded a campaign to send coffee to soldiers serving in Afghanistan which quickly went viral.  I encouraged people to send Tim Hortons paper certificates to soldiers with messages of support on the back of them.  I created a Facebook group and it snowballed fast mostly in part to VOCM News in Newfoundland and City News in Toronto doing a story on it.

After sending over $100,000 in free coffee to troops in the first year I decided to take on other missions to show support to our men and women serving and for Veterans as well.  We setup schools as penpals, introduced family members to each other and in 2010 started "The Gratitude Project"  After Gene Simmons and Shannon tweed posted about it and took part on their social media platforms things went to a whole new level.

I have also launched several campaigns such as "Operation You Are Not Alone" which encouraged Veterans and First Responders with PTSD that it was not a sign of weakness to ask for help.

On November 29th, 2020 my entire department was laid off so I have decided to launch my own social media management company to offer help to small businesses that want to take their business to the next level.
